Southern Ohio Chamber Alliance (SOCA) benefits to our members: 

SOCA Benefit Plan: This new self-funded health program that can lead to more rate stability and is a smart solution that offers potential savings for groups with 50 or fewer employees. SOCA has teamed up with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield to administer this plan and to provide stop loss coverage. 

Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield: Membership includes access to quality, affordable health care plan options from Anthem. As a chamber member with 2-99 employees, you will have access to a 1.4% savings on any Anthem group health insurance plan through a premium tax credit savings.

Retirement Benefit

SOCA Pooled Employer Plan: Under the SECURE Act, the first significant retirement-related legislation in more than a decade, employers can offer retirement plans to their employees through a Pooled Employer Plan (PEP). In a PEP, employers of all sizes, industries, locations etc. can join together and become a “member employer” through the SOCA Pooled Employer Plan (SOCA PEP). The Newport Group the Pooled Plan Provider (PPP) of the SOCA PEP is responsible for establishment, management, fiduciary oversight and operations of the plan on behalf of the member employers. Chamber Energy Program

The Chamber Energy Program is a premier member benefit offered to over 200 Chambers of Commerce throughout the state of Ohio in partnership with NOACC and SOCA. Through this program, we help chamber members obtain low electric and natural gas supply rates with favorable terms and conditions. The Chamber Energy Program is powered by Community Energy Advisors (CEA). CEA is a Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) certified energy management firm that educates and empowers organizations to maximize the economics of their energy asset

ERC (Employee Retention Credit)

The ERC (Employee Retention Credit) is a generous stimulus program designed to bolster businesses that were able to retain their w2 employees during the pandemic. It was rolled out during the Cares Act, which was the same legislation that approved the PPP loans. At the time, businesses had to choose between the PPP and the ERC, however, the rules changed allowing businesses to receive both.

Business must be under 100 employees to qualify for 2020 and under 500 employees for 2021.

Remember: Even if your business revenue increased in 2020/2021, you may still be eligible for this program.
